Used, very special low temperature Bitzer storage/freezing installation (cascade system), suitable for very low storage temperatures of -60°C/-65°C and consists of the following main components:

• 1 x low pressure compressor, Bitzer type 6F-40.2Y, working with refrigerant R23 at evaporating temperature of -68°C and equipped with:
  Capacity control 33% / 67% / 100%
  Oil separator
  Manometer set with all required safety devices
• Cascade Condenser of 105kW at -33°C / -40°C with R23/Ammonia R717, internal surface 283m², RVS AISI-316
• Expansion tank, 1.795Liter, R23, min. temp. -10°C max. temp. +50°C
• Custom made switch-board

Mentioned cooling capacity is with the refrigerant R23/Ammonia R717 at -68°C/-33°C

This installation is very suitable for freezing tuna or storing tuna, where high quality product is required. For freezing tuna, a maximum of 800kg/h  of product can be achieved with two units. For frozen storage approx. 4,000 m³ with two units.

Note: The unit must be connected with the cascade condenser to an ammonia installation at -30°C/-40°C.
