Built by Grasso / GEA for the firm JBT/Frigoscandia, a complete two-stage Frigopack freeze pump installation with a freeze capacity of 1460 kW at an evaporating temperature of -40°C and a condensation temperature of +35°C with the refrigerant R717 / Ammonia. The absorbed power is approx. 689 kW with this condition. The installation consists of the following main components: two pieces GEA / Grasso two-stage screw package. First type unit ZE-6BN with serial number 8460 build in 2001/2002. Containing a low pressure compressor (Booster) type ZE connected to a 160 kW Schorch E-motor and a high pressure compressor type PR connected to a 200 kW Schorch E-motor, a central oil separator, oil pump, thermosyphon oil cooler, switchboard with star/delta switches and a Siemens S7 PLC. Second type unit BETA E-6AT with serial number 7917 build in 2000. Containing a low pressure compressor (Booster) type XBR connected to a 250 kW Schorch E-motor and a high pressure compressor type SR connected to a 250 kW Leroy-Somer E-motor, a central oil separator, oil pump, thermosyphon oil cooler, switchboard with star/delta switches and a Siemens S7 PCL. The first frame is equipped with a low pressure separator (Surge drum) made by the brand Armultra-LTD with a capacity of 7,1 m3 and 2 pieces hermetic ammonia fluid pumps.
