Used Grasso / GEA / Thermofin industrial blast-freeze installation. This industrial blast-freeze installation, in very good maintenance condition, is assembled by Comron International and consists of the following main components:
- 1 Grasso / GEA screw package, consisting of two Grasso / GEA screw compressors, type M-1 (DUO), 2 × 160 kW Schorch electric motors, a vertical oil separator with water-cooled or thermosiphon oil cooler, oil pump, ECO connection on the compressors, and a control cabinet with start relays and new Siemens S7 PLC with HMI touchscreen
- New low-pressure separator -40 °C (surge drum) with a volume of 2 m³, equipped with 2 ammonia liquid pumps
- New ECO vessel -10 °C
- Custom-made software for controlling the entire system
- Baltimore / Evapco evaporative condenser, customer’s choice
- 2 Thermofin floor-mounted blast-freeze evaporators for horizontal air flow
- The evaporator is fully manufactured in stainless steel and has a capacity of 125 kW each at a -40 °C evaporating temperature.
- Each evaporator equipped with 4 high-pressure tube axial fans, 4 kW each
- Hot gas defrosting executed in both the coil block and drip tray
- All required valves, including Danfoss PM valves, floats and electronic controllers
The blast-freeze installation is suitable for freezing up to approximately 2,000 kg/h of product, depending on product specifications such as product type, inlet temperature and required final temperature, and can be divided into 2 separate freezing compartments.
The mentioned cooling capacity of 260 kW is based on refrigerant R717 (ammonia) at -40 °C / +35 °C, ECO operation, with compressors operating at 3000 rpm.
