Used, complete Howden ammonia freeze-pump installation of 1300kW at -40°C
At the end of 2013 Comron International got the order of a big fish factory to deliver a een Howden freeze-pump installation with a freeze capacity of 1300kW at -40°C for 20 Jackstone plate freezers and three cold stores with a total volume of 25.000m³. The installation consists of the following main components: Howden two stage screw packages of which two Booster screw packages WRV BT225/220/26 with one E-motor of 185kW and one of 400kW (swing for low pressure - high pressure application), high pressure package WRV-255/165/36 with a 500kW E-motor, surge drum 21m³, intermediate pressure separator 12m³ complete with Witt GP ammonia liquid pumps, high pressure tank 1200 Ltr., custom-made switch-board with new ProFace PLC/touch screen controller and 3 new soft starters, 2 pieces Evapco LSC-X-404 evaporative condensers with GEA air purger and 9 pieces GEA Goedhart freeze evaporators with hot gas defrost type PLK 51kW each. Comron did the complete engineering for this installation, just as well as the building of the switch-board with new PLC with touch screen and graphic displays (door Comron programmed by Comron). This industrial freeze pump installation was put into operation by and under supervision of Comron with the local contractor in August 2015 and provided with 14 ton ammonia.
