Mid-2021, Comron International received the order from a food producer from Greece for delivery of a Frigoscandia/JBT spiral freezer (freezing capacity of 2.000 kg up to 2.500 kg pizza products per hour) with a complete Grasso/GEA NH3 freeze pump installation with a freezing capacity of 250 kW at an evaporating temperature of -40°C. The freeze pump installation consists of the following main components:
- 2 pieces Grasso/GEA screw package type M3 / year 2004. Serial number unit 1 : M0715, Serial number unit 2 : M0716.
- Each screw package/unit equipped with a Schorch 132kW E-motor
- Vertical oil separator with thermo siphon-oil cooler without oil pump (circulation by discharge pressure)
- New Siemens S7 PLC / Simatic touchscreen for each package
- ISLAS low pressure separator -40°C, 1,4 m³ with 2 pieces WITT hermetic liquid pumps
- ISLAS eco tank -10°C, 409 liters
- ISLAS High pressure receiver tank 833 liters
- Custom-made switch box with new Siemens S7 PLC / Simatic touchscreen and soft starters for the Grasso compressors
The engineering and delivery of the P&ID drawings and E-diagrams are also provided by Comron International.
The Frigoscandia/JBT spiral freezer with the Grasso/GEA freeze-pump installation was put into operation at the beginning of September 2022 under the supervision of our supervisors together with the local contractor.
